Startup Fundraising Advisory: A Narrative and a Model That Agree
Fundraising advisory means preparing the narrative, the financial model, the data room and the process as one piece of work rather than four. A deck that runs ahead of its model rarely survives diligence, and the gap is usually found in the second meeting rather than the first.
Most decks we are shown lead with the metric that is easiest to grow rather than the one investors will underwrite.

What we look at, and what you keep
What we analyse
- Which metric investors in your category will actually underwrite
- Whether the model can defend the growth rate the deck claims
- Cohort behaviour, retention and contribution, before the narrative is written
- The target list, and the order in which it should be approached
What you receive
- A deck and a financial model that agree with one another
- A diligence-ready data room
- A process plan: whom to meet, in what order, over how many weeks
- Preparation for the questions you are hoping nobody asks
How long it takes
8–12 weeks from kickoff to a run process.
Who it is for
Founders raising a priced round who have revenue or a specific and credible path to it.
We charge a flat fee for the work. We do not take a success fee as a share of capital raised.

Common questions
Startup Fundraising, in practice
What makes a startup financial model investor-ready?
Driver-level assumptions rather than a growth percentage, cohort logic that matches the customer data, and a direct line between every claim in the deck and a line in the model. If a partner can break the model in ten minutes, it was not ready.
What should be in a data room?
Enough that diligence does not stall, and no more. Financials, the model, cohort and revenue data, contracts, cap table, key policies and the org chart. Building it during diligence is the most common avoidable delay we see.
Do you introduce us to investors?
We help build and sequence the target list and prepare you for the meetings. We are advisors, not placement agents, and we bill a flat fee for the work rather than a percentage of the raise.
How early should we start?
Earlier than most founders do. Eight weeks before you want to be in market is comfortable. Four weeks with no model yet built is the case we usually decline.
Tell us the decision you are facing.
A short paragraph is enough. Where another firm would serve you better, we will say so and suggest one.
